Rev. John Ahre was born January 12, 1954. He attended the Ibru College, Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. He committed his life to Christ in 1975. And accepted the call of God in ministry in 1977.

Having a hunger for the word of God, he attended, All Nations for Christ Bible Institute in Benin City in 1978-1979. He graduated and was awarded a diploma in Pastoral studies and power-evangelism. In 1988, he attended Dr. Morris Cerullo's School of Ministry in Lagos, Nigeria.

Having the heart of a pastor, he served as Associate pastor with Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor for approximately 10 years. Being a true believer of the gospel in 1988, Rev. Ahre received a vision from God to start a church in Ughelli. Knowing the importance of obedience, he wanted to meet the needs of the people in his community just as the Lord had spoken to him.

As he obeyed the will of God, for his life , Life Christian Centre located in Ughelli, Delta State, Nigeria was established in 1990, With God's divine intervention a member of 15 people has now grown to over 2, 000. Rev. Ahre is highly favoured by God.

There is unique anointing on this man of God. His church is affiliated with the Word of Life Bible Church, in Warri, Nigeria, a church pastored by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

His Television programme "HOPE ALIVE" is view by more than 10million viewers every week on DRTV in Nigeria. Many lives have been blessed and changed through the ministry of Rev. John Ahre.

He is married to Pastor (Mrs) Ruth Ahre and is a father of four children; Tega, Ese, Mishael, And Marvelous.
